Protein foam is applied as deck foam for ships, etc. It is made through hydrolysis of animal protein. Therefore, it induces little environmental pollution and can be applied to high temperature oil fire due to its high fire resistance. It is supplied mostly to the petroleum tank and petrochemical plants since its price is relatively lower than that of the aqueous film forming foam. Although it has longer time of fire extinction and low , it has outstanding effect on prevention of recurrence since it maintains its form stably after the fire extinction.
